Steve and Wendy Backlund were senior pastors for 17 years before joining the team at Bethel Church in Redding, California in 2008. One of their pastoral assignments was Mountain Chapel in Weaverville, California, where Bill Johnson pastored before coming to Bethel. Steve is a leader, developer, joy activist, revivalist teacher, and a key part of the BLN leadership team. Wendy compliments Steve greatly in these things and has a ministry teaching people to live from the spiritual dimension of their lives. They travel extensively throughout the world encouraging churches and leaders. Together, they’ve authored more than a dozen books.
