A few years ago I heard a TED talk by Dr. Brené Brown entitled, The Power of Vulnerability. In her talk she shared the fact that we are all neurobiologically wired for connection (relationship). She said that the greatest core need of every person in the world is to feel like they belong. Later, I heard a powerful quote by Robin Williams who said, “I used to think that the worst thing in life was to end up alone. It’s not. The worst thing in life is to end up with people who make you feel alone.” Yikes!
