Are you dreaming big enough and believing God can do immeasurably more than you can imagine? One way to test your vision is to ask yourself the question ‘can I accomplish this on my own?’ If you can, you are probably not dreaming big enough.
In 1 Chronicles 28 we see that David had it in his heart to build a Temple for the Lord - a permanent resting place for the Ark of the Covenant. Yet because he was a man of war God told David he was not the one chosen to build the temple. David could have given up on the dream recognizing that he couldn’t accomplish it himself but instead he set a great example of leadership for us to follow. David had a dream he knew was greater than he could accomplish so he laid the groundwork and prepared the way for the next generation to complete the vision.
David and Solomon accomplished something together that stood for generations to come.
Our prayer is that you would embrace a vision greater than you can accomplish in your own lifetime or ability. And may you prepare today for your dreams to impact generations to come.

“Get out of that small-minded thinking. Expand yourself. Expand your horizons.”

1. David called those in leadership together.
2. He shared the vision in his heart and the plans the Lord had given him.
3. He called on his Son to help him accomplish the dream.
4. He allocated resources for the project.
5. He identified the people with the right skills to get the job done.
6. He encouraged others to give into the vision.
7. He charged them with words of encouragement.
